The Youth Knowledge Enrichment (TYKE) Foundation was established to assist in preparing our youth for STEM occupations. Data from the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that STEM related occupations is projected to grow to more than 9 million between 2012 and 2022. In order to meet these critical job demands TYKE Foundation realizes that all youth, particularly those in underserved communities must be afforded the opportunities to access to STEM learning enrichment systems coupled with realistic possibilities charting pathways to STEM occupations at the very beginning of learning.
We also believe that all children regardless of socioeconomic status must be afforded the opportunity and the provisions to participate in post-high school education. Once enriched with these needs we believe that children will excel to the skill levels needed to stem the tide of STEM shortfalls.
